To become a Chartered Member you will need to demonstrate Masters level learning. You can do that in a number of ways.
You have an accredited MEng degree:

You have a BEng (Hons) degree partially accredited for Chartered Membership:
When you show you have completed yourIPDyou can demonstrate your Masters level learning by passing the Chartered Membership exam - part of your Professional Review.
You have an accredited BEng (Hons) degree partially accredited for Chartered Membership and an accredited MSc degree:

You have a Washington Accord or FEANI recognised degree:
You have achieved learning outcomes at least equivalent to a BEng (Hons) degree partially accredited for Chartered Membership. When you demonstrate you have completed your IPD you can apply for Professional Review.
We automatically recognise second cycle degrees in civil or structural engineering of four or five years in duration.
Remember, you can demonstrate your Masters level learning by passing the Chartered Membership exam.
Your degree is not recognised by the Washington Accord or FEANI:

A degree in civil or structural engineering from a university course accredited through theJoint Board of Moderators, or an IStructE-approved equivalent.

Unsure about your academic qualifications?
Contact the membership teamwith the details of the degree you studied, including the course name, university name and dates of study. If appropriate we will submit your qualification for assessment.

If your qualifications are not of an equivalent level we will advise you how to make up the difference through further learning, eg additional formal study, sitting the Chartered Membership exam or via the Technical Report Route.
