Jane is Technical Director for Thomasons in Manchester, where she has worked since 2003. As a Conservation Accredited Engineer Jane particularly specialises, and enjoys, working on historic structures. Jane has been actively involved with the Institution since 2000, serving as Regional Group Chair for Lancashire and Cheshire in 2006/7 and on numerous committees and panels since then.

Prior to his current role, he was a practising structural engineer at Arup for over ten years. Natasha Watson MICE is a Senior Structural Engineer at Buro Happold. She completed her Engineering Doctorate in Low Impact Building Materials in 2016 and has been advocating for their increased use, plus the reduction of embodied carbon in the built environment ever since. She is now an integral part of Buro Happold’s commitment to achieve at least a 50% reduction in embodied carbon within their projects by 2030.
Niamh is a Structural Engineer at Curtins, with a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering. Niamh is the current chair of IStructE's Young Members Panel and part of the Climate Emergency Task Group. Working in the Male dominated construction industry, Niamh shares her experience of being a young woman in the industry and passion for representing young engineers voices. Particularly advocating for sustainability and challenging the outdated stereotypes of what Engineers do and look like, and the role they play in society.
