David is a Director and Secretary at TWf UK. He is a Chartered Civil Engineer, a Chartered Safety and Health Practitioner and the Director of Heightsayfe Ltd. Previously he has been the HM Principal Specialist Inspector of Health and Safety (Construction) at HSE.

Tony Gould - Technical Director, VP GroundForce plc
Tony has been instrumental in the design and development of proprietary hydraulic earthwork support equipment for over 35 years. He sits on national committees and advisory panels relating to below ground temporary works and is a former chair of the CPA Shoring Technology Interest group. He is currently chair of the Bradford University Industrial Advisory Board.

Roy Lyle MIStructE - Associate Director, Contractors Design Services
Roy has 20 years’ experience working for permanent works design consultancies, as a resident engineer, for a main contractor’s construction engineering team and now at a design consultancy specialising in temporary works. His specialities include working on “cut and carve” refurbishment projects and developing construction methodologies to suit programme constraints.

Simon Smith FIStructE Managing Director, Contractors Design Services
Simon has 40 years’ construction experience, most of which has been spent in the management and design of Temporary Works and Geotechnics on a wide variety of Building and Civil Engineering projects. Working mainly with contracting organisations, ‘Value Engineering’ or ‘Constructioneering’ has become ingrained into his thinking.
