Structural assessment of aged concrete structures.

In a climate emergency, it is essential to focus on extending the life of existing structures. 'Build build build’ should not replace refurbishment, strengthening and repurposing as our first options, especially in countries with large existing infrastructure networks.

Understanding structural behaviour and time-dependent properties are key when assessing existing structures. Our expert panel discuss useful first principles and critical checks required by the Eurocode and DMRB document suite.

Presenters share their experience and discuss best practice around existing bridge assessment, focusing on post-tensioned viaducts and reinforced concrete voided slabs.

Reasons to watch

  • Gain an understanding of the assessment requirements for existing bridges
  • 听到意图soning and theories applied when analysing existing concrete structures
  • Increase your knowledge of post-tensioned viaducts and reinforced concrete voided slabs
