AN Ordinary Meeting of the Institution was held at 11 Upper Belgrave Street, London, S.W.1, on Thursday, 25th January, 1940, at 5.30 p.m., Mr. P. J. BLACK, L.R.I.B.A., PRESIDENT, in the Chair, when a Paper entitled “The Design and Construction of Explosives Factories” was presented by Mr. C. L. BOUCHER, M.Inst.
EXAMINATIONS The Examinations will next be held on Wednesday, January 9th, 1941 (Graduateship) and Thursday and Friday, January 9th and 10th (Associate-Membership).
FEW of our members are actively interested in the subject of this paper and for that reason it is presented with some diffidence. However, it is the writer’s hope that in view of the importance of mining to this community and the numerous examples of these structures on every hand, the paper will prove of some interest to all.
